Tourism Office of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese community in Bantul district of Yogyakarta will hold the Dragon Boat Festival at the weir Tegal, Canden, Jetis Bantul, June 13, 2010.
Dragon Boat Festival celebration was held to welcome the Peh Cun, and activities will take place daily.
"Dragon Boat Festival celebration was held to welcome the Peh Cun, and activities that will take place daily, from 08:00 am until 16:00 pm," said Tourism Office of Public Relations of DIY, Nurhidayat, in Yogyakarta on Thursday (10/06/2010).
According Nurhidayat, plan the Dragon Boat Festival 2010 will be followed by 20 teams DIY paddle sports, and enlivened with exhibitions from outside Yogyakarta paddle boats, slalom boats, and art dragon lion dance on the boat.
"Dragon Boat Festival is a series of activities beginning in 2010 the peak Pehcun celebration will be held at Parangtritis, Bantul District on June 16, 2010," said Nurhidayat.
He said the celebration by holding a dragon boat festival is one of the culture of the Chinese community in Indonesia that is still preserved as a richness of culture and tourism.
Location Dragon Boat Festival 2010 in Tirta Tour, Weir Tegal, according to him, as consideration for this place is a tourist attraction's pre-eminent water Bantul regency.
Weir is located in the Tourism Village Kebonagung, Kecamata Jetis which now has a tourist lodge, so that tourists can stay in the village. "The festival is expected to turn Kebonagung Tourism Village, as well as introducing the village a tourist destination," said Nurhidayat.
